Garrett Lowe

 Delete last sentence and replace with “Continuing this pattern of intellectual aimlessness, Garrett is currently interested in the history of Massachusetts Bay Colony as well as the Spanish Flu of 1918.”

Beth Hetzler

Beth Hetzler has been tutoring full time since 2005, and works with students of all ages. She received a BA in French from the University of Redlands and an MA from Georgetown in Latin American Studies. She went on to receive a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research in Colombia, and came home to take on a job with the UN. She speaks French and Spanish fluently and really enjoys making those languages more accessible to her students.

Beth spends her summers travelling the globe and has a gift for different dialects and accents of French and Spanish. This makes her uniquely qualified to coach students to perform their best on the AP exams in both Spanish and French. Beth currently is writing a book about generational and global shifts in happiness.

Chrissy Page

Christine (Chrissy) Casey is our reading and writing specialist, working with students from elementary school level through high school. She tutors students preparing for the SSAT, ISEE and HSPT private school entrance exams. Chrissy also works with students who need studying, organizational, and executive functioning skills support, as well as students needing academic support. Chrissy joined Eagle Eye in 2014, following a blessed and busy 15+ year classroom teaching career. She holds a BS in Sociology from Chestnut Hill College and an MS degree in Secondary Education with Social Studies Concentration & Certification from St. Joseph’s University. In addition, she has a master’s degree in Theological Studies from Washington Theological Union.

When she’s not cultivating a love of learning with her students, you can find Chrissy out on a hike, in a yoga class or immersed in her own educational endeavors such as reading, travel, and museum exploration.

Jaclyn Levy

Jaclyn Levy is the Director of Science and Research Policy at the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), where she manages a broad portfolio of infectious disease policy areas including research, diagnostics, precision medicine, and antimicrobial resistance. Prior to joining IDSA, Jaclyn worked as a biosecurity analyst for the US Department of Homeland Security; a scientific journal editor; and a consultant for scientific trade associations. Jaclyn received her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and holds an MS in Biohazardous Threat Agents & Emerging Infectious Diseases from Georgetown University.

Jaclyn enjoys helping students find and use their strengths to improve performance on the SAT/ACT, English/Writing, and SSAT/HSPT.

Stephanie Monschein

Stephanie is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Georgetown University’s SFS Master’s program, where she specialized in economic development and international relations. A native New Englander, Stephanie grew up in the Berkshire Hills of CT.

Stephanie currently works full-time as a monitoring and evaluation specialist for an international development firm in D.C. She enjoys balancing this with tutoring and prepping students for college and life. She has tutored over nearly 1500 hours since 2009 for SAT and ACT primarily, as well as a variety of academic subjects. Her strength is ACT/SAT critical reading and grammar, and ACT science. She teaches her students to be self-aware and to be capable of identifying weaknesses, desired levels of achievement, and steps needed to reach that goal. She stresses that it’s OK to have weaknesses; it’s understanding and striving to improve that are key to success!

Tricia Duncan

Tricia graduated from James Madison University in 1993 with a BS in Chemistry. Tricia lives in Washington D.C. with her husband, Gary, and two young children. In August 2013 she teamed up with Garrett Lowe to open Eagle Eye Tutoring.

Tricia is in charge of running the business and creating educational smart phone applications. She tutors in chemistry, middle school SSAT prep, and students with learning differences.

Henry Martin

Henry first made his tutoring debut when he learned he could earn brownie points from his mother by tutoring his younger brother in whatever subjects that came his way. He has been trained to tutor ACT/SAT, but can also help students in Spanish and Physics as those were his courses of study at Davidson College, where he earned a bachelors of physics in May 2014 with a minor in Hispanic Studies.

Originally from Kentucky, Henry loves all things outdoors, as well as Kentucky basketball. He captained the lacrosse team at both his high school and college, and he now coaches men’s lacrosse at St. Albans high school.

Adelaide S. Barrett

With both verbal and math sections, Adelaide Barrett’s educational background resembles a standardized test. She graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in English and received an MPH from Boston University with concentrations in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. 

She has over 15 years of experience working in independent schools and recognizes the importance of building collaborative relationships with students and parents. When she is not spreading the word about Eagle Eye, Adelaide enjoys playing tennis, doing the New York Times crossword puzzle and planning trips she’ll probably never take.

Alexander Bonelli

Alexander is a native of the Washington Metropolitan area, having attended Landon School and Walter Johnson High School before graduating with a B.S. from Cornell University. He recently completed his M.A. at the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. Raised in a multilingual household, Alexander speaks Russian and Spanish fluently. Alexander has had diverse experience tutoring at Landon and as a consultant for educational counselors, working with students to improve their college application essays, as well as achieving peak performance on the SAT and exams. He particularly enjoys delving into the humanities and biological studies, looking for novel, dynamic solutions to social problems in biology. He has traveled the globe and hopes to imbue his students with a passion for knowledge and appreciation for varied subjects as educated citizens of the world.

Minal Mehta

Minal received her B.S in Genetics from the University of Maryland and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania. In grad school, she enjoyed teaching and mentoring students in Biology, and in the lab with scientific experiments. She currently works as a research scientist for a pharmaceutical company in the Washington DC area-- her work involves finding new targets for medicines for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and loves to play with cells and mice. Outside of work, she loves to read, write, play tennis and badminton, is a yoga enthusiast and loves weekend brunches.

Minal has been tutoring for the last 4 years. She loves to help students succeed and reach their academic goals! Her academic offerings include SAT/ACT test prep, Math (up to Algebra II), AP/Honors Biology, and English/Writing.
